The man behind Nomad
As a multi-sport athlete in his youth, Anthony always had a passion for competition, breaking multiple athletic records and earning All-State honors in football. After graduating with a Health Sciences and Biochemistry degree from Rowan University, he immediately started working alongside top sport physical therapists and physicians where he built his craft using cutting edge modalities and rehabilitation techniques. In 2013, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He then leapt into the elite athlete scene while also becoming a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and certified in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. Anthony has since worked with the U.S. Men’s and Woman’s Olympic Rowing Team, the Philadelphia Flyers, the NFL and has helped professional athletes from all over the sports realm achieve high performance.
It wasn’t until Anthony pushed himself to the brink of several health complications after burning the candle at both ends with his lifestyle, that he became debilitated by chronic illness, eventually struggling to remember his friend’s names and unable to get out of bed in the morning. He was bounced around by doctors who sent him away with contradicting diagnoses, from having Multiple Sclerosis with only a few years left to live, to just having depression. Anthony refused to believe this was the case, and knew something had to change. It wasn't until over a year later that he discovered a diagnosis of the misunderstood Lyme Disease and it's underlying co-infections, as well as the amount of exploding cases occurring in Americans each year.
While working with the top clinicians and researchers of chronic illness, he incorporated functional medicine and “unconventional medicine” and began to see his own experiments in nature beat his disease. After consistently searching for a root cause, the truth started unraveling in front of his eyes, as he observed just how broken the modern medical system really was. It fails to address chronic illness and the connection with our external environment, leaving people frustrated with exercise and weight loss struggles, preventable athletic injuries or poor energy levels. Regaining health made Anthony realize just how irreplaceable a role energy plays in our lives and focused all of his into helping clients overcome disease and transform their bodies. With over a decade of study into the science of human performance and potential, his journey evolved into a mission that committed his life towards helping others find the "truths" in what it means to be a more complete human being. Thus, Nomad was born.
